Kindergarten through 12th Grade Minnesota Academic Standards are now in place for the following subjects: The Arts, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. See the links below for more detailed information.

Minnesota Academic Standards K-12 Copies of the Minnesota Standards are now available by subject.

Standards in Language Arts The Language Arts Standards include reading and literature; writing; and speaking, listening and viewing.

Standards in Mathematics The Standards in Mathematics include concepts in the strands of reasoning; numbersense, computation, and operations; patterns, functions, and algebra; data analysis, statistics, and probability; and spatial sense, geometry, and measurement.

Standards in Science Science Standards exist in these four areas: History and Nature of Science; Earth and Space Science; Physical Science; and Life Science.

Standards in Health and Physical Education This includes a set of sample standards and benchmarks used as the core standards for school districts.
