    What is Discovery Club?
     
    Saint Paul Public Schools Discovery Club provides out-of-school time childcare in a fun, safe, caring environment that supports children’s learning and development. Discovery Club is a fee-based program offered through the Community Education Department of Saint Paul Public Schools to families with children currently enrolled in Pre-K through 5th grade.
     
    What happens in Discovery Club?
    Children participate in a variety of fun and engaging enrichment activities that provide them with hands-on opportunities to learn and practice academic, social and physical skills.
     
    Who supervises the children? 
    Discovery Club staff are the heart of our program. Staff are educated, experienced adults who have a passion for engaging students in fun and educational activities. Discovery Club staff receive on-going professional development on behavior guidance, activity planning, youth development, and first aid/CPR training.
     
    Where is Discovery Club located?
    Discovery Club is available to students enrolled in Saint Paul Public elementary schools in areas A, B, E and F. Each area (A, B, E and F) has a “hub” location that serves all students in that area. If Discovery Club is not offered at your school, you may enroll your student in the Discovery Club hub school for your area and your student will receive transportation to/from the school they are enrolled in.
     
    Does Discovery Club charge a fee? Is financial assistance available?
    The fee for attending Discovery Club depends upon the number of days your child attends the program and the schedule you choose. Financial assistance is available to eligible families. Parents may contact Think Small, 651-641-6665 (working parents/guardians), Ramsey County, 651-266-4444 or 651-266-8500 (parents/guardians who are in school or working), or Discovery Club, 651-632-3793. 
     
    How do I apply?  
    You may apply online at stpaul.ce.feppay.com. Registrations are accepted as space is available; an e-mail confirmation will be sent notifying families whether their registration has been accepted. When your registration is accepted, the credit card or banking information provoded will be charged a non-refundable $75 enrollment deposit.  If you are unable to register online, receive county assistance for childcare or have questions about the registration process, call the Discovery Club Administrative Office at 651-632-3793.
     
    Can I drop-in?
    Currently enrolled families may request drop-in days (as space is available) seven (7) or more days in advance. Requests can be made by phone at 651-632-3793 or online at stpaul.thatscommunityed.com.
