The East Side Learning Center (ESLC)

The East Side Learning Center provides one-on-one tutoring in reading for children in grades K-4 who are below grade level in reading. The East Side Learning Center tutors provide instruction at the end of the school day as well as after school and during the summer. Children are tutored at least three times each week for one hour each session. The goals are to help the children improve their reading skills, reach grade

School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND) administer the Learning Center, and volunteer tutors along with some part-time tutors (elementary teachers) provide the one-on-one tutoring for children from the East Side.
