Welcome to Bruce F. Vento Elementary School!
Principal - Shoua Faith Moua
Nyob Zoo!  My name is Shoua Faith Moua.  I am the new principal at Bruce F. Vento Elementary School.  I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to join the Vento community.  I have 10 years of experience in Saint Paul Public School District as a teacher, program coordinator and administrator.  I live in Saint Paul with my husband and two children.  As a student who struggled through school because of the lack of understanding of the English Language, I am passionate about ensuring that all of our kids are successful despite cultural, economic, and social barriers.  As educators it is our priority to ensure that all of our students graduate to something great.

Again, I look forward to working with all of you!

Assistant Principal - Brian Zambreno

I have been a public educator for over ten years and I have a strong passion for academics and student success. I have degrees from the University of Minnesota, Hamline University, and the University of St. Thomas. My classroom teaching experience includes special education and English as a second language. I love the diversity in Saint Paul Public Schools and I am excited to be at Bruce F. Vento Elementary School. I believe open communication is a key to success and I encourage families to contact me any time with questions, concerns, or just to hear what’s going on at the school.

Vento School's academic foundation is build upon the following principles: 1. Aligned instruction grounded in an integrated system of standards, instruction and assessment in which: The standards are clearly communicated; High expectations are maintained for all students; and The standards
remain the same for all students, but those who need more assistance receive additional time and different modes of instruction. 2. A student's effort and performance is what really matters, not aptitude. Teachers give students the time they need to achieve. 3. Vento's culture focuses relentlessly on the results of student work. Everything that everyone does at Vento School fosters and supports high student achievement; All school administration, faculty and staff know their primary purpose and know it well - to educate children to high standards; and Administrators and teachers analyze data and use the data in their planning.
