Our school educates every student without exception and without excuse, to standard or above in reading, writing, math and science with an environmental focus throughout.
Our goal is to eliminate racial disproportionality and predictability of achievement by accelerating the achievement of our lowest performing students and increasing achievement for all students.
With colorful college flags and staff members proudly proclaiming where they attended college, Bruce Vento Elementary makes a strong statement that college is our goal for every student. School-wide, each class “adopts” a college or university and learns about its campus. In return, colleges and universities around the country have adopted our classrooms.
Vento students learn and grow with our school garden. Classes participate in planning, planting, and harvesting the school garden throughout the year.
Our family room provides a space for families to connect with other families, learn together, and link to community organizations. The space creates a bridge between school, families, and community organizations.
