Achievement Plus
Have you noticed the words “Achievement Plus” in our school’s name and wondered what they mean?
Achievement Plus, a partnership between the Saint Paul Public Schools and the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, focuses on three things - academics, out-of-school learning opportunities, and learning supports. These three components support the goal of Achievement Plus, which is to help school staff in making sure that students are able to attend school every day, ready and eager to learn, and to help remove any existing barriers which may prevent students from learning to the best of their ability.
We do this by partnering with community orginizations like Children's Dental Services, Every Meal, Beacons EDL, and Family Values for life. These resources come into the school, so Vento is your one-stop-shop for supports like housing, legal, employment, health, after school programming, free food, clothes, diapers, and more.
