Superintendent Search Survey and Community Forums

Superintendent Search Survey and Community Forums

The Saint Paul Public Schools Board of Education, with assistance from BWP & Associates, is conducting a national search for the next superintendent of SPPS. As part of the search process, you are invited to provide input about the skills, experiences and characteristics we are looking for in the next leader of SPPS.

An online survey regarding the superintendent search is now available at spps.org/superintendentsearchsurvey. All surveys are anonymous and must be completed by Wednesday, October 2.

All community members are also invited to participate in community forums on the following dates:

  • Monday, September 30, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Hazel Park Preparatory Academy (1140 White Bear Ave.)
  • Monday, September 30, from 7-8 p.m. - Virtual Meeting (links will be posted on spps.org/superintendentsearch)
  • Tuesday, October 1, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Como Park Senior High School (740 Rose Ave. West)
  • Tuesday, October 1, from 7-8 p.m. - Virtual Meeting (links will be posted on spps.org/superintendentsearch)

Please use this registration form to sign up for a time that works best for you. Interpreters in Spanish, Hmong, Somali, Karen and ASL will be available at each event. To join the virtual meetings, visit spps.org/superintendentsearch and select the virtual meeting link for your preferred language.

Responses from the community forums and survey will be used to create a leadership profile of the characteristics our community would like to see in our next superintendent. This profile will be used to evaluate all superintendent candidates.

Thank you for providing valuable input on this important matter and your commitment to Saint Paul Public Schools. More information about future community involvement will be shared as the search process continues.
