Hi, I'm Ms. Abby!

I am currently working at two different SPPS schools providing EL services: Bruce Vento Elementary and Maxfield Elementary. I work with 2nd and 3rd grade students to provide English Language Learner Services. Before I started in SPPS, I received my Master's Degree in Education from the University of Minnesota. Some of my experiences that have brought me here have been traveling abroad to Vietnam to teach English, and working as a Reading Corps member at St. Paul Public Schools. I have had various opportunities to work with young learners from a variety of backgrounds and am grateful to combine all that I've learned to best serve the needs of students here in SPPS.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy going for hikes with my husband and my dog, going camping, spending time outside, reading a good book and catching up with my friends and family. 

I can't wait to get to know the students that I will be working with this year! I look forward to learning a ton and creating an environment where students feel excited about learning as well.
